Wedding budget calculator
Enter your total wedding budget, then give each category the share you choose. You see the planned amount for every category and whether your percentages add up to 100%. There is no preset or "recommended" split: the example below is made up, so overwrite it with your own. Nothing is saved or sent anywhere.
Your categories made-up example: replace with your own
| Category | Your % | Planned amount |
|---|
Each planned amount is rounded to the cent. Leave a row's % blank to skip it. A percentage is of the total budget, so 12 means 12% (not 0.12).
How it works
Planned amount = total budget × your % ÷ 100. Allocated = sum of your percentages. Left to allocate = 100% − allocated, also shown in money. The check only says whether your shares add up to 100%; it does not judge the split itself.
Worked example (the made-up values above): with a $24,000.00 budget, 45% for venue & catering is $24,000.00 × 45 ÷ 100 = $10,800.00 and 12% for photography is $2,880.00. Attire & beauty, flowers & decor and contingency at 8% are $1,920.00 each, music at 6% is $1,440.00, rings at 5% $1,200.00, cake and transport at 3% $720.00 each, and stationery at 2% $480.00. The ten shares add up to 100%, so the planned amounts add up to the full $24,000.00. Change contingency to 3% and the total allocated drops to 95%, leaving 5% ($1,200.00) unallocated.
